Guest Guide

Door Locks

The door locks have custom access codes unique to your stay. Wake the screen by touching the Yale logo. Once the numbers appear, enter your code followed by the check mark. Lock the door from outside by pressing the Yale logo again.

Check-in Procedure

Check-in is at or after 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise arranged. You will check in using your door code. Please inspect the home upon arrival and let us know if anything appears amiss.

Fireplace

Use the grey remote to control the fireplace like a thermostat. If the remote doesn’t work, open the panel at the bottom and flip the left switch to “on.” Return it to “off” when done. Always turn it off before checkout.

Heaters

Wall heaters have room thermostats. Living room has A/Cs in warmer months. Use Google voice commands like “Ok Google, set temperature to 68 degrees.” The Lounge has a dial-controlled heater.

Dogs

The backyard is fenced. Please pick up waste and dry dogs off before coming indoors. You may use our towels, but bringing your own helps avoid stains and potential fees.

Bath Essentials

We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.

Kitchen Basics

The kitchen includes cookware, dishes, Keurig, blender, toaster oven, and more. A water pitcher is in the fridge. Cleaning supplies are under the sink.

Lights

Most lights are voice-controlled via Google. Labels help identify names. Try “Hey Google, turn off Sea star light.” Cabinet and porch lights can also be voice or manually controlled.

Google Home Speakers

Use smart speakers for music, alarms, weather, and more. Don’t connect your account. More info: Google Nest Help.

Batteries

Remotes use rechargeable batteries. A charger and extras are in the cabinet above the stove. Don’t throw them away or use them in personal devices.

WiFi

SSID: SeahorseGuest – Password is on the chalkboard in the living room and was emailed before check-in.

Xbox

Use the Seahorse profile or your own Xbox account. Log out when done. Controllers use rechargeable batteries – see instructions above. Feel free to bring your own controllers or devices.

Roku

Preloaded with major streaming accounts. Please do not sign out the guest accounts provided. You may use your own apps/devices but log out before leaving.

BBQ

Turn off propane after use. A spare tank is nearby on request. Don’t exchange our tanks—refill locally at lumber yard if needed (we will credit any cost incurred). Clean BBQ by burning off residue, then scrubbing with the brush.

Cleaning Supplies

A vacuum is in the laundry closet. Laundry and dishwashing supplies are in the laundry closet and under the kitchen sink.

Garbage

Garbage pickup is early Wednesday. Move totes Tuesday night if you're staying. Blue = recycle, grey = garbage. Glass is not recyclable. Details: Grays Harbor Recycling Guide.

Checkout Procedures

  • Start the dishwasher with any dirty dishes if possible
  • Place garbage in receptacles
  • Leave beds unmade
  • Close/lock doors/windows and turn off fireplace
  • Report any issues or damages
